Specialized Spey/Switch Guided Trip

This trip may be done with the aid of my drift boats or jet boat if needed, not only to carry equipment, food and you, but it will also help us cover more water to show you wadable access points and show you different casting techniques on river left and river right.

This trip is dedicated to our friend the 2 handed rod. You will learn the basic casts needed to pursue your catch, but also how all the equipment works together to produce a spey cast. You can also learn the effectiveness of nymphing with a switch rod, Spey casting an indicator set up couldn't be easier. So with that said only 2 handed rods on this trip, from small switch rods to full on speys, leave those single handers at home.

Current prices are for a full day (minimum 8 hours) and half day (minimum 4 hours) of fishing for up to two people

All Clients must have a valid CA Fishing License, as well as a CA Steelhead Card if applicable. Please provide proof at the begining of the day, so we can properly fill it out together 

Our guided trip includes all amenaties as well as shuttle service. Full day trips include a nice streamside lunch, and beverages for the day. It also includes rods, reels,  flies, tippet, and any other equipment or essentials needed for the day's trip. Please feel free to bring along your favorite rod/reel or flies. If you have any special dietary needs please email or call me with that information in advance. Half day trips include everything but a streamside lunch.

 Payments and Deposits

 A 50% deposit is required on the day you book your fishing trip, the remaining balance is due on the day of your trip. Initial deposit can be made via Venmo, Zelle, Credit Card or Paypal. Please come prepared with Cash or Check to complete your payment on the day of your trip, no credit cards will be accepted.

 Please note a 3% transaction fee will be applied to all Credit Card and Paypal payments.

 Once a date is mutually agreed upon, and the trip is booked via phone call, text, email or private messenger, it is implied that the client agrees to NCFG's payment and cancellation policy.

 

 Refunds / Cancellations

 We have a 30-day cancellation policy. For cancellations made outside of 30-days, your deposit can be applied to a future trip or you may choose a refund of your deposit. Cancellations made inside of 30-days will resuly in forfeiture of your deposit, unless your trip is rebooked with another party. NCFG will assist in finding a replacement party, however the original booking party is ultimately responsible for finding a replacement in order to receive the deposit back. When booking, please keep in mind that Fly Fishing is an outdoor activity and adverse weather conditions can be part of the experience. We do not cancel trips due to adverse weather or other situations outside of the guide's controll. However, if the weather/water conditions are dangerous and/or unfishable, the guide will make the decision to reschedule your trip. For emergency circumstances that may arise, we will postpone the trip, and reschedule to a future date. Rescheduled trips will need to be rebooked within 30-days of the original booked date and do not warrent a refund of your deposit. Donated trips cancelled within 30-days will be forfeited in full.

 

Occupancy

 2 Anglers maximum per boat/guide.
However, we can accomodate more than two anglers with additional boats/guides. Exceptions can be made when using the Jet Boat, the experience of the anglers and the type of trip.

Gratuity/Tips
Your guide works hard at trying to ensure that your experience is both entertaining and educational. Gratuities/tips are always welcome and greatly appreciated. They are common practice in the guiding industry and are based upon your overall experience and enjoyment of your trip. Tips are generally seperate from payment.
